Worcester is committed to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and preparing our community for a changing climate.

Worcester’s municipally owned and operated solar farm is as big as 19 football fields. It generates enough electricity to power the equivalent of 1300 homes. 

Worcester reduced greenhouse gas emissions in municipal buildings by18% from 2009 to 2019.

With the help of our team of community scientists, we test our water weekly, ensuring the health of our twenty lakes and ponds.

Our top priority is to ensure that all members of our community enjoy the benefits of a sustainable and resilient city.

We’re working to make Worcester easier to get around for everyone and more electric vehicle-friendly.
